The Georgia Multi-Tiered System of Supports (GaMTSS) is a statewide framework designed to help every student thrive. It helps districts design a range of academic, behavior, and well-being supports that are matched to each student’s unique needs. Specific attention to individual data ensures each child receives help at the right time. Rather than waiting for students to struggle, GaMTSS focuses on prevention and early intervention to set them up for success from the start.

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), a vital component of GaMTSS, is a well-researched multi-tiered system of supports that helps schools create positive, predictable, and safe learning environments. PBIS has been intentionally incorporated into GaMTSS. Georgia provides districts and schools with training, coaching, tools, and resources to support this work. The state remains committed to ensuring PBIS remains part of a broader effort to improve school systems and outcomes for all students.
